REMARKS BY AMBASSADOR SUDRAJAT THE ASSOCIATION FOR INDONESIA CHINA ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CULTURAL COOPERATION AT A VIDEO LINK LEADER’S  MEETING OF CPAFFC, CAA  AND FREINDSHIP ASSOCIATION OF ASEAN, 30 JULY 2021

Your Excellency Madame Gu Xiulan, President of China ASEAN Association (CAA), Your Excellency Mr Lin Songtian, President of The Chinese People’s Association For Friendship with Foreign Countries, CPAFFC Excellencies fellow ASEAN leaders, ladies and gentlemen.

Firstly, I on behalf of the Association for Indonesia China Economic and Social Culture Cooperation would like to highly appreciate  CPAFFC for organizing the  important video link leaders  meeting today. Our theme , Working in solidarity to fight against pandemic, promote economic recovery and safeguard the regional and global peace stability and development is a very right motivation.. We don’t have any choice but to collaborative and working together in fighting the pandemic. We should consistently committed to the implementation of MPAC ( master Plan  on ASEAN Connectivity) and the BRI ( Belt and Road Initiative) to promote conducive business environment for sustaining economic growth in the region. For enhancing stability and security and peace establishment, we should support our agreed mechanism of Code of Conduct in the South China Sea. The implementation of the Declaration on the conduct of parties in 2002, Maritime Security Cooperation should continuously be enhanced. We should support the idea of the Joint statemen of Special ASEAN-China Foreign Minister’s Meeting in Chong Ching last June that we should  work together more closely. The Indonesia-China high level dialog cooperation mechanism will help the two sides better  coordination in various field cooperation and push greater development in Indonesia. Indonesia thanks China for its valuable support in the fight against covid 19 particularly for its large scale vaccine cooperation. And hopes that China will continue to support Indonesia’s effort to build a regional vaccine production centre.
Indonesia supports the greater development of ASEAN – China relations, Indonesia also hopes to conduct more substantive cooperation with China to push  early recovery of regional economy. We ASEAN and China should maintain peace and stability in South China Sea, and better cope with challenges in the post pandemic era and achieve  a greater mutual benefit.Excellencies ladies and gentlemen. I should end my remark and once again, thank you to the CPAFFC for organizing the video link meeting. Please stay safe and healthy. Thank you
